Refund and Cancellation Policy
This policy explains what you are charged, when a subscription renews, how to cancel, and when money is refunded. It is part of our Terms of Service and states the same terms as section 9 of that agreement.
1. The short version
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel yourself, at any time, from your account settings — the same way you subscribed. You never have to phone or email anyone to stop a subscription.
- Cancelling stops future charges. It does not refund the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until that period ends.
- A free trial converts to a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel first.
- We give you at least 30 days’ notice before a price change affects you.
2. The terms in full
- Paid features are billed at the price and interval shown to you at purchase. Unless stated otherwise, fees are quoted in U.S. dollars, are exclusive of taxes, and are non-refundable except where these Terms or applicable law expressly require a refund.
- Automatic renewal. A subscription continues automatically and we will charge your payment method on each renewal at the then-current rate until you cancel. The renewal interval and price are disclosed to you before you subscribe and in your confirmation.
- How to cancel. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the then-current billing period, from your account settings in the Service — that is, by the same means you used to subscribe, without having to contact anyone — or by writing to support@yoshuko.com. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the period already paid for, and you keep access until that period ends.
- Free trials. If you begin a free or discounted trial, it converts automatically to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before then.
- Price changes. We may change prices on at least 30 days’ notice before the change takes effect for you. Continuing after that date is your acceptance of the new price; if you do not accept it, cancel before then.
- Taxes. You are responsible for all sales, use, VAT, GST, withholding and similar taxes other than taxes on our net income.
- Non-payment. We may suspend or terminate access for any amount not paid when due, charge interest at the lesser of 1.5% per month or the maximum the law allows, and recover our reasonable costs of collection.
- Chargebacks. Initiating a chargeback for a charge properly made under these Terms is a material breach. You agree to contact us first.
3. How to cancel, step by step
- Sign in and open your account or billing settings.
- Choose to cancel your subscription.
- You will see the date your access ends. No further charges are made after that date.
If you cannot reach your settings for any reason, write to support@yoshuko.com and we will cancel it for you. We will not require you to justify the cancellation, and we will not route you to a retention process before honouring it.
4. Billing errors and duplicate charges
If you believe you have been charged in error — a duplicate charge, a charge after cancellation, or an amount that does not match the price shown to you — write to support@yoshuko.com with the date and amount. We investigate and, where the charge was made in error, we refund it in full. Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can correct it directly.
5. Rights this policy does not take away
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right you have under consumer law that cannot be waived by agreement, including the right of California subscribers to cancel an automatically renewing subscription by the same medium in which they accepted it. Where such a law gives you more than this policy does, that law applies.
How money moves
Intelligena LLC is a software company. We charge our own customers a subscription fee for access to our software.
Where our software helps a customer take a payment from their client or learner, that payment is processed by Stripe directly into that customer’s own Stripe account. Intelligena is not a bank, a money transmitter or a payment facilitator, and we never take custody of, hold, or pay out funds belonging to our customers or to their clients. Where a platform fee applies to such a payment, it is disclosed in advance and collected by Stripe at the time of the charge; we receive nothing else from it.
Card details are collected and stored by Stripe. Intelligena does not receive or store complete card numbers.
